# How to become a Degen

### If you are new to GMGN and want to try to make money by trading new tokens, here are some tips you should focus on.

1.Keep an eye on the "Sniper New" section at the bottom left corner of [http://gmgn.ai](http://gmgn.ai/). When you see a new coin, click on it and follow these steps:

2.Check LP Burned or not: If LP not burned, there's a 60% chance it could be a rug pull.

3.Inspect Rat Trading: Rat trading holdings should not exceed 20%, and ideally, there should be some present.

4.Check Snipers: If a top holder snipes at the opening with less liquidity, there's a 90% chance of a dump, causing instant losses as you buy at the peak of the price, causing momentary losses.

5.Prefer Larger Pools: Pools with over 100 SOL are preferable. Those with only tens of SOL are susceptible to dumps. However, do not always rely on this pattern, as some scammers may exploit it to deceive you.

6.Monitor Opening Trades: Look for genuine trading activity. If there are over 60 trades in the first minute or 600 trades in the first 5 minutes, it indicates real activity, <mark style="color:red;">not wash trading.</mark>
